Game's real nice... it actually is really interesting... they used free assets but they actually made up for it so I don't think that's an issue at all! really well done... though its hard to believe u made this in the short time for a jam but you do deserve the star regardless

The free assets surely saved us a lot of time :) Thanks!

Man, this game did it for me, I was livid with the way of life but this game made it better. The story is something fresh, out of the blue, touched my soul. It broke my icy heart, now I'm a normal person. The plot twist was something I've never seen before, my dearest friend, keep the good work, I see a great future waiting for you at the end of the tunnel, maybe, one day, you will break out of this "tutorial" too and become a billionaire.

Hehe We used the same assets, (i came here bc you commented on my submission) But really amazingly well done, like bro pat yourself on the back cause that game was trippy. At the beginning I was like woah a tutorial game! but then when I assumed it would just end when the tutorial was over. POOF! more story out of no where i think my jaw dropped when I saw the player going "wait I've done this before". Definitely a twist i wasn't expecting. GREAT JOB! :P

Wow, it’s crazy you did this in such a short time! The art is amazing and the mechanics are really cool. I especially liked using the arrow keys as attack!

I don’t really know what you were thinking, but out of all the ideas you could have chosen, you decided to make the game about a 'quest to slay a God'? Are you even aware of what you're doing? I mean, maybe the game will be good, maybe it will succeed, and maybe you'll earn a lot of money — but do you think that if you die and stand before God, He will forgive you for mocking Him? I'm only telling you this so you don’t end up in eternal hell, because the story of the game can easily be changed, and the names can be changed too. But the name of God should not be used in this way, even in games.

I think there's a misunderstanding. The word "God" in this context refers to a fictional deity in the game, with no connection or reference to real life religion... It's part of the story and worldbuilding.

You can clearly see that we are using that word with an article ("a God") :) I hope that clears things up!

I understand that you think that way, but let's take a simple example that comes to mind right now—there are many more if you look—and that is: let's say I wanted to make a game about you specifically. I use your full name and ID, and your address, so that it clearly refers to you and there's no confusion with anyone else. Then, in the game, I portray you as a child molester, a terrorist, and a murderer. Based on your example, I assume you'd have no problem with your neighbors and relatives seeing this game and asking, 'Isn't this you?' And you'd just reply, 'No, it's just the game developer using my name in a fictional way—that's not really me.' And I'd then have the right to make all the games I want and mock as I please because it's all 'fictional'. So what about the God who created you?

I see where you come from and I respect your devotation to your religion. What I think is lost in translation or in comunication here is the fact that we never use the name of God. We do use the noun "god" which a synonim for deity, but in this contest it is purely storytelling. Like in the greek milythology or any others  there is the god of war, god of love and so on. Multiple entities that are reffered to as gods. Likewise, in this game, if you get to the very end you find out what the name of this deity is, and it is not "God". The story is not set in a world where christianity exists, it is purly fictional. The characters don't exist, the deity is not warshiped nor is it hated. I hope that clarifies things. If you want to talk more I would be glad but as for this chat, it is not in the scope of this game jam.

Look, I understand that you think making a game means you're creating a world where you can do anything because it's not tied to reality. But if I said that Argentina didn't win the World Cup, would that change reality? Of course not — reality stays the same regardless of what I believe. And that's what I mean: it doesn't matter if you think you're not mocking the One who created you from dust , even  when  you are clearly mocking Him. What matters is how He sees it. So when you die and stand before Him in all His majesty and glory, and He says to you, 'You were mocking Me through your game,' your logic won't help you. Because the only logic that matters is what God wills, nothing else.

I'm telling you this so you don't end up tortured in Hell for eternity. Whether you believe me or not doesn't benefit or harm me — it only benefits or harms you.
And by the way, I'm Muslim, not Christian. I truly hope you'll look into this yourself and verify it — not just watch disbelievers mocking God and then blindly imitate them.

I think the discussion got a bit off track. It’s actually quite simple: the word “god” has different meanings in English, and in our game, we did not use it to refer to The Creator. Thank you for your comment and for sharing your strong beliefs!
